New York Public Library branches close due to coronavirus (COVID-19)

The New York Public Library announced that it will close all locations due to health concerns surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19). Library locations will be closed to the public beginning Saturday, March 14 through at least Tuesday, March 31.

All due dates for checked-out materials have been extended to April 15. No late fees will accrue for materials that were originally due during the closure period. The NYPL is also working to expand access to e-books online, which can be accessed using the their SimplyE app. All library branches will be sanitized during the closure.
